We believe in one God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as described in Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14, and John 1:1.
We affirm that our Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God, begotten, not created. He is fully God and fully Man, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a vicarious and atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world, resurrected bodily for our justification, and now reigns in glory until all things are placed under His feet (1 Timothy 3:16).
We hold to the absolute inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, which were given by the Holy Spirit without error through holy men of old. The Bible is our ultimate authority, and the church has no authority to establish doctrine or practice contrary to it. These Scriptures were accepted as canon by the early Christian church (2 Timothy 3:16).
We believe that humanity was made in the image of God, but due to the fall, we are spiritually depraved and alienated from our Creator. Without God’s grace, we are unable to attain our high calling (Psalm 8, Ephesians 2:8-9).
We affirm that justification is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on Calvary (Romans 3:21-24).
We believe that all believers are to be baptized in water, as commanded by Jesus, following conversion (Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:4).
We acknowledge the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in all believers, conforming them to the image of Christ. The baptism in the Holy Spirit, subsequent to conversion, is an empowerment for sanctification and evangelism (Acts 2, 8, 10, 19).
We believe that the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit are active within the body of Christ until the return of the Lord. We encourage the development of these gifts under the guidance of local church authorities (1 Corinthians 12:13, Romans 8:16-17).
We affirm the existence of the Holy Christian Church, imperfectly represented by various Christian institutions. Her unity is spiritual, her culture diverse and transitional, and her mission eternal (1 Corinthians 12:27, Romans 12, Ephesians 2:19).
We acknowledge the functional callings of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher within the Body of Christ until the Lord’s return. These ministries are gifts to the church for the equipping of the saints and the edification of the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-13).
We recognize the importance of the local church as the primary representation of the Body of Christ on earth. While encouraging voluntary associations and consensus on fundamental doctrine and conduct, we affirm the sovereignty and autonomy of the local church (Revelation 2-3).
We believe in the right of local churches and ministries to establish temporal institutions to assist them in carrying out God’s work. However, we reject sectarianism and divisiveness as great evils (Mark 9:38-41).
We affirm the priesthood of all believers, acknowledging that all people born of God have equal status before the Lord and direct access to Him (1 Peter 2:5).
We believe in the spiritual unity of all who are born of God, even with those with whom we may disagree or who may not confess us. We recognize that our limitations and ignorance should not hinder our unity in Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-14).
We affirm that marriage is a covenant contract between one man and one woman, designed by God. We believe that any sexual activity or behavior outside of the commitment of marriage is considered sin (Ephesians 5:25-31, Genesis 2:21-24, Mark 10:5-9).
We acknowledge that salvation from the penalty of sin is only the beginning of the redemption process. We understand that the Holy Spirit works in us to develop the character of Christ (2 Timothy 2:19).
We hold the belief in the literal second coming of our Lord, His rule upon the earth, the resurrection of the saved to eternal life and the unsaved to eternal damnation, and the ultimate victory of the eternal Kingdom of God (Acts 1:9-11, Daniel 12:2, Revelation 22:1-7).
These core beliefs shape our understanding of God, His Word, and our Christian faith. We strive to live out these principles and share the love and truth of Christ with our community and beyond.
